Glenview Animal Hospital

"Dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care for your pet"

Emergency Information

In case of emergency, please be sure to call our hospital first (847-724-4812). If we are open, we will be able to talk with you and help determine the urgency of your pet’s needs.

In the event that the hospital is closed, we recommend that our patients be seen at BluePearl Pet Hospital in Northfield or Skokie or at Veterinary Specialty Center in Bannockburn. Our relationship with these emergency/specialty hospitals allows us to receive updates and reports in the event that your pet is examined or hospitalized.

Their telephone numbers are on our voice mail. Please try to call ahead so that they may prepare for your arrival at the emergency room.

ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center

If you think your pet has been exposed to any sort of toxin or poison, please call the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center to speak with a veterinary toxicologist. Be prepared to give as much detailed information as possible about your pet and the poison. Having the package with you when you call can be very helpful.

Once you call, you will be given a case number. This will allow us to follow-up and care properly for your pet.

The telephone number is 888-426-4435. There is a consultation fee for this service. Have a credit card available when making the call. Without information from the poison hotline, the veterinarian caring for your pet may not have much needed treatment information.

If your pet is having seizures, losing consciousness or is having difficulty breathing, please telephone ahead and bring your pet immediately to your local veterinarian or emergency veterinary hospital.

The finest compliment we can ever receive is a referral from our friends and clients. Help us reach others through Yelp.com, Google + or Facebook. Thank you for the confidence you have shown in us; it has been a pleasure.
