Emergencies happen. Please be sure to call our hospital first (847-724-4812). If we are open, we will be able to talk with you and help determine the urgency of your pet’s needs. In the event that the hospital is closed, we recommend that our patients be seen at the BluePearl Veterinary Partners. Our relationship with the BluePearl Veterinary Partners allows us to receive updates and reports in the event that your pet is examined or admitted to the center. Their telephone number is on our voice mail. Please be sure to call them before you go so that they may prepare for your arrival.

ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center: The telephone number is 888-426-4435. There is a consultation fee for this service. Have a credit card available when making the call.
If you think your pet has been exposed to any sort of toxin or poison, please call the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center. Be prepared to give as much detailed information as possible about your pet and the poison. Having the package with you can be very helpful.
If your animal is having seizures, losing consciousness or is having difficulty breathing, please telephone ahead and bring your pet immediately to your local veterinarian or emergency veterinary hospital.
