David A Cohen, DVM

Dr. David Cohen graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1981 . He came to the Glenview Animal Hospital in 1984 and took over ownership in 1985. He brings a wealth of experience to the community. His interests and strengths are in providing a practical and proactive approach to compassionate care. The recent addition of Lulu, a miniature Toy Poodle, has brought hours of fun and joy to his family. When out of the office he teaches self-defense and creates beautiful stained glass works of art.

Manny Kanter, DVM

Dr. Kanter graduated from the Ohio State University in 2004 where he received the award for Excellence in Small Animal Medicine. His enthusiasm and friendly demeanor make him a great addition. Dr. Kanter enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but has a special interest in internal medicine and pain management. It is important to him to help manage pain in our pets whether post surgically, from injury or just making them more comfortable as they grow older. Away from the office, Dr. Kanter enjoys golfing, biking, watching movies and traveling. He shares his home with his cat Scourge.

Missy Tarpey, AHT

Missy is the "glue" that holds the animal hospital together. She has been managing the clinic since 2006 and brings a wealth of knowledge in doing so. Growing up in her father's veterinary hospital, she followed her love of veterinary medicine through technical school and into several specialty practices. Besides being the practice manager, she also enjoys helping as a technician when needed. Missy lives with her husband, Pat, her two children, Ryan and Jamie and their Bernese Mountain Dog, Geneva.

Chris Malak, Animal Care Coordinator

Most of you know or have met Chris. If you haven't met her, she knows you and your pet. She has an uncanny memory for patients. Chris has been with the Glenview Animal Hospital for over 20 years. She is an integral part of the technical staff as an assistant. From helping the Doctors with examinations, to assisting the technicians with procedures and radiographs, she makes sure every patient has a fluffy blanket and lots of TLC. In addition to the animals that she adores here at the hospital, Chris shares her home with her five cats John, Kippy, Lacey, Louie, and Mikey.

Christy Mathew, CVT

Christy is a certified veterinary technician licensed in the state of Illinois. She has specialized training in anesthesia, dentistry, radiology, laboratory procedures and patient care. She monitors anesthesia and assists in surgeries, performs dentistry, takes radiographs, performs laboratory procedures and of course gives our patients an abundance of TLC. Christy, her husband Jovy and their daughter Aubrey share their home with her four cats: Curtis, Albert, Puddy, and Elle.

Stacey Geasey, CVT

Stacey joined the Glenview Animal Hospital in the summer of 2006. She is a certified veterinary technician and did her training in Colorado at Bel-Rea Institute. With a smile that is infectious, Stacey enjoys the long-lasting relationships that have developed with clients and their pets. Stacey is now working part time. Her home is shared with her husband Sterling, daughters Maddie and Maizey, their dog Bailey, and their three cats, Irie, Kitty and Terrapin.

Kayla Mattison, CVT

Joining us in the fall of 2009, Kayla came to us from Northern Wisconsin. She is a certified veterinary technician. In addition to all of her training, Kayla continues to learn and participates in many continuing education programs. Her love of science and the compassion she feels for animals has helped her to become a wonderful technician. Though her Boxers had to stay in Wisconsin, Kayla soon opened her home to Tiberius, her loving feline friend and Frankie a precocious Boston Terrier.

Jenna Sadler, Technical Assistant

Jenna came to Glenview Animal Hospital in 2008. Her love for animals has made her a wonderful asset to our staff. She has a deep compassion for animals. Jenna enjoys caring for animals and appreciates the diversity and personality of each pet. She assists in surgeries, exam rooms, x-rays and processing lab work. Jenna shares her home with her dog Roxy.

Debbie Sampson, Client Services

Spring of 2008 brought Debbie to Glenview Animal Hospital. She is such a caring person. We are delighted to have her at the reception desk. Debbie enjoys working with the pets and their owners. Along with her husband Kevin, son Kevin, and daughter Megan, she shares her home with their labradoodle Murphy and cats Sonic and Pretty Kitty.

Dawn Ream, Client Services

Dawn brings a vibrant and cheerful personality to the Glenview Animal Hospital Client Services team. Although she was new to the field of veterinary medicine, Dawn continues to expand her knowledge to help our clients and their furry friends. Dawn's sons Cody and Dylan bring her much joy as does the newest member of her family, Lulu, a beautiful red Toy Poodle.
